In the Fall of 2019, the idea of creating a community-based babysitting company was how Mamas and Babysitters was established. As founder of SouthCoast Mamas and Babies, a question that is asked almost daily is: “Can someone recommend a local, trustworthy, reliable babysitter or childcare in the area?” I myself found that I was asking the same question. Though I had / have an amazing babysitter, she is a hot commodity. So, finding someone in a pinch is sometimes difficult. Mamas and Babysitters was created out necessity, and it is said that “necessity is the mother of all inventions.”

As a mother, I understand the importance of quality childcare. We have been blessed with amazing people who have shaped the lives of our children. It is with that idea that I wanted to create a community of caretakers that is different from other platforms that are out there. Mamas and Babysitters has a focus on communities in small cities and towns. Unlike other sites, we a want to create a personal feel to babysitting. That a recommendation or referral is more like hiring a friend or a family member. Our children are our most important asset and we want you to know we are handling them with the utmost care. With an extensive in-person hiring process, background check and CPR certifications to list a few important things, we want to do all the hard work for you.
